We have plenty of directors who are creative, so why do we need a creative director? The answer is: because YOU need a creative director. One like Luke Thompson. Not to replace the creative director that you have. He’s on our team, not yours (no poaching). His role with The Producers is to be your creative director’s stunt double. The one who stands in for you when our directors, producers, content creators and designers need to interpret your idea. His role is creative translation. He understands your world. He’s been there for three decades, all around the globe, working at ad agencies like Cliff Freeman and Partners in New York, Havas Sydney, and more recently at Clemenger BBDO and Special Group in Melbourne. His work has been recognised at all the major award shows. Notably, he clinched a coveted Gold Pencil at this year's D&AD awards and has amassed over 100 international advertising awards, including multiple Cannes Lions. He has collaborated with marketing teams like Virgin Australia, Tourism Victoria, Seek, NAB, Netflix, CUB, Bonds, RM Williams, and the AFL. He is turned on by big ideas, brand growth, and robust client relationships. He'll listen quietly and carefully. And when you least expect it, he’ll add that little twist that turns good into great. Of course, just like any Hollywood stunt double, he’s not there to be noticed. Unless you don’t have a creative director. In which case, he’ll be happy to play lead.

Meet The Producers


Let’s talk about agony.
First yours. You’re at that delicate junction with a script in your valise, a budget and an ego wracked with trauma, the sort of trauma you’ve developed jumping through hoops for months trying to get something good up. It was agonizing, but now you’re nervous, because you have to hand your baby over to a group of strangers, a director and a production team who haven’t lived it the way you’ve lived it, who haven’t suffered, who haven’t agonized. How do you trust that they’ll be able to pull it off for you? How do you know they’ll do the script justice? 

Well, here’s the thing. Now our agony begins. Now we worry. Now we work tirelessly and lose sleep, throwing ourselves selflessly onto the grenade that is your atom bomb of an idea because we want to make it more than just a cracker.  Why? Well, we can see the potential in it and we believe we can tune it, elevate it and above all else, honor it with the production it deserves. It may cause us stress to do that and we’re prepared to suffer for this art but you of all people know why that is. Because love hurts. It’s supposed to. You know the feeling?
